Virtual Mindfulness Session with Helen Grain

Helen’s accessible and practical approach when teaching Mindfulness is based on her extensive personal practice, her regular training with worldclass teachers, and her in-depth experience of teaching Mindfulness in a variety of settings. Helen seamlessly blends the power of ancient wisdom with research proven practices in a bid to reach Mindfulness enthusiasts and sceptics alike.

In 2012 she decided to leave a life-long career in banking and pursue her passion - sharing Mindfulness. She has been running Mindfulness-based interventions in mainstream settings as well as in workplace and leadership contexts, since she qualified as an Accredited Mindfulness (MBSR) Teacher. Her first two books were published in 2016 and 2018.

"We will start the session by taking a brief look at: - Mindfulness in the 21st Century - What Mindfulness is and isn’t - Why cultivate Mindfulness? The benefits of a daily practice We will then move on from the theoretical to the experiential, and have a10/15-minute practice of “Awareness of breath and body”. After the practice there will be a short time to reflect on the experience through inquiry. We will then have a chance to look into Corporate Mindfulness: - what it actually looks like, and - how - through practice - it permeates into everyday life. Time for another short practice “A Three-step Breathing Space”. We’ll be having a glimpse of how to: - stop (if only for a split second), - be with what arises (whether we like it or not), and - gather ourselves (using the resources available to us)."
