Our Speaker:

Tshediso is the Head of Service Operations at Old Mutual (Project Olympus) which is in the process of launch a new Retail Bank in South Africa. Tshediso’s background is 12 years in financial services including investment banking, insurance, and infrastructure finance across Africa. He has also led large scale technology programs including Salesforce and AWS implementing them in multiple countries. Tshediso is passionate about South Africa and its ability to disrupt the global financial service landscape with innovation and creativity.

He holds a Business Science Honors Degree in Finance and Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting both from UCT. He also holds an MBA from IE University in Spain and completed in 2016. Teddy is a qualified Chartered Accountant with SAICA.

Senior Manager, IE Middle East & Africa

Mr. Waters hails from Fairfax, Virginia, USA, and has been at IE for over 8 years, first as a student, completing his IE Master’s in Management, and then working on the Admissions team for the International MBA and Master’s in Management programs. As Senior Manager for the IE Middle East and Africa team, he helps lead our offices (in Dubai, Riyadh, Johannesburg, Lagos), coordinates our regional initiatives, and advances our mission of bringing the best talent to IE University. 

Director for Southern Africa office - Global Markets

Poppy Matshaya is the Director for Southern Africa office. She is an Alumni of the  International MBA program, graduated in 2015. She is an experienced marketing and communications professional and has worked in  General Motors, Fiat Group & Ford Motor Company South Africa. Currently she takes care of the recruitment for Specialized Masters & MBA programs at IE University
