The IE Finance Day is a day to showcase the finance programs at IE, what you can gain from doing a master in finance at IE, what you will learn from our program, and how you can develop a career in finance. This event is an open invite for anyone who wants to discover what areas of finance you want to get into, develop your knowledge in finance, and learn how to build your careers in finance. You will also have the chance to meet currents students, alumni working in the difference finance sectors, and professors who are experts in their field. There will be a variety of activities you make take part in, such as workshops, masterclasses, roundtable discussions, networking events, and many more!

15:30 - 16:30 Presentation of Finance Programs
Learn about the different range of ﬁnance programs IE Business School has to offer and which one would best suit your proﬁle and career goals. Listen to our Admissions Director speak about what differentiates a Master in Finance at our school, the program structure, the different electives you can take, and tips on submitting a top application.
16:30 - 17:30 Campus Tour
Take a tour around the IE Business School campus, visit the different buildings we have, enter our Trading Room, meet students from the different maters programs, and experience what student life is around our campus.
17:30 - 18:30 Masterclass "How to Pitch a Stock" by Rafael Hurtado
Learn with real examples what are the main criteria to pick a stock, the steps in the process of buying equities and other speciﬁc tips.
18:30 - 19:00 Presentation by our Talent & Careers team and Q&A
Listen to our Talent & Career team speak about the different career opportunities you may have by doing a Master in Finance at IE Business School.

Get another perspective. Chat with our alumni who are working in different companies in the ﬁnancial sector and get a glimpse of day-to-day life there.

10:30 - 12:30 Workshop: ‘’Fundraising in Startups: the path from idea to Venture Capital A rounds’’
Learn about how to raise funds in startups through real life examples. You will have the opportunity to select a startup, learn which factors to look out for, how to valuate, what to include in your pitch desk, and more!
12:30 - 14:00 Women in Finance Panel: "Women in Finance - Breaking Barriers" is a professional panel that brings female professionals working in different areas of finance to campus to share their personal and professional experiences as women in finance. We will be inviting 3 outstanding women who have achieved success through differing career paths to talk about their journey and accomplishments. The panel aims to uncover the numerous career opportunities available within the finance industry and pinpoint their specific characteristics. The event will also focus on discussions around the most prevalent topics affecting women in these industries. After the panel discussion, attendees will have an exclusive networking opportunity with our speakers.

is currently active as a consultant and advisor to corporations and start-ups, and as a Business Angel, investing in projects in different fields, such as fintech, e-travel, legal tech, real estate tech, gamification or media. He is a Mentor in Fintech in the European accelerator Startup Bootcamp, as well as in the Accelerator Finnovista, centered mainly in Spain and LatAm.
Finance Professor at IE since 2005 teaching many subjects such as Commodities Markets, Arbitrage Strategies, and Asset Management Industry.
He currently works as Chief Investment Officer of Allianz Popular Asset Management managing investment funds and pension plans with total assets under management in excess of €16 billion.

CFA Charterholder, currently enrolled in the IE Dual Degree International MBA and Masters in Advanced Finance program.
Private Equity Analyst
IE Master in Finance 2015 alumna currently working as a Private Equity Analyst for Alantra, a global investment banking and asset management firm.
Head of Corporate Development and Strategy for the Azora Group, a private equity investment and asset management group managing c. €5bn as well as an independent board member at Evo Banco in Spain, a c. €5bn asset bank. She also chairs the Risk Committee and is a member of the Financial and Audit Committee. She is also member of the board of trustees and Chairwoman at Plan International, an independent and humanitarian NGO.
Professor at IE Business School and IE University
Over 15 years of experience in diverse fields in investment banking. She has been a CFA Charter holder since 2002 and is the Mentor for IE in the CFA Research Challenge. She is a professor at IE Business School and IE University, teaching Finance and Financial Accounting. She has 10+ years of experience in the academic field as a lecturer, and is currently preparing her PHD in Sustainable Finance.
